This is my 2nd 3D printer I’ve built and also taller version of the 1st Hypercube Evolution (HEVO) 3D printer I’ve built a few years prior. The goal of this project was to be able to print taller / longer objects while keeping the same footprint as the normal HEVO. It’s was easier to build a taller printer (500mm) as I wouldn’t have to deal with the mechanical challenges with a wider than 300mm. I also wanted to use more cutting edge, lighter components to produce higher quality prints.
